Musharraf Shuts down GEO TV
ISLAMABAD: GEO TV, Pakistan’s Urdu news channel, also seen round the world as the main source of news views and current affairs, was shut down at 1 a.m. PST after President Pervez Musharraf put tremendous pressure to silence a media outlet which had refused to bow down to his dictatorship.

but..GEO TV web still running
I sent hundreds of mails but no response,secondly sms never apears on T.V ,out of thousands they keep showing which are in favour of GEO.
First channel where you cannot communicate area and problems.
Hopeless Channel….if wants to survive than you have to say on media what we say…and it will b not against any political party / personality..General problem.
Fed up listening about advocates and jujes,advocates,when ever we open TV its all about advocates……How to survive..getting things out of reach….no one to discuss.
Regarding transport I wrote u never mentioned in any programme. if you want it again pls. reply.subject is no transport availibility from sea viw to Sh.Faisal upto Malir…in past there were two …1-UTS…Closed
2–Metro….Closed.Three are upto the garden gate near New Dolman City…if u c 19-D condition routed to saddar…its totally worn out…Data coach operates after every 45 minutes v.v.slow upto FTC only…..Khan goes to tower only…Shame on city govt. i wrotr to city Nazim he as well seems busy with advocates…should we write to UNO.

GEO should be banned permanently, because of all the crap they’ve been showing against their own country and people. This goes for all you GEO traitors, THIS IS YOUR OWN COUNTRY GOD DAMN IT! Save the country, get GEO banned PERMANENTLY!

Hey Paki! Everybody has freedom to raise his voice On my site. I only stop those comments which seems to be a SPAM.
No media organization in the world runs unregulated. CNN, BBC or any other news channels “give it a break” when it comes to issues that affect “national integrity and security”.
Pakistani channels went beyond their limit and instead of reporting the event as-it-is, they always added “more” to it.
Most probably that was because of “commercial” greed or “political” elemens in the channel.
Instead of “abusing” domestic political events and instead of making joint programmes with indian media, Geo should have addressed Pakistan’s national interests. How many times did GEO cover “KASHMIR” issues????????
GEO! stop making money for jung group! work for the truth and national interests!
Now stop bashing the General and be honest to your country and its citizens! They a’int got any money for you!
