They must have an alternate backup of ISP, a strong hardware firewall that protect them from threats and attacks. so usually companies purcahse some paid hosting services where they host their domain,setup pop accounts and then retrieve email from that servers. as we are in Pakistan and mostly hosting providers are only reseller they don't have their own setup except few like Cyber . so ultimately a security risk is still present in this scenario. A middle person is still exists...! BUT if we talking practically ,
