shafiq.pk reloaded with new theme
I am really very happy that I have achieved my 1st milestone for 2009 in my journey to the blogging world. I had been working on the new theme for last couple of months and finally its completed. I made some small and big changes that I had been planning to implement since some time.
In the new theme design, my primary goal was to have a simple but feature-rich and elegant design.
Major design level changes includes:
- Logo design of shafiq.pk
- New social media icons on article details page
- Google Friends Connect in sidebar
- Gravatar icons in Comments section
- Google Custom Search
- Links to my profiles on social networks in sidebar
I am writing this post only to get my blog readers feedback regarding any aspect of the new design. You are more than welcome to criticize the new design and feel free to add your suggestion in the comments area.

The new theme is awesome and it has made a good impact on user friendliness.
Looks good, but I think previous one was better than this.

Good Work Shafiq Sb, logo is cute, but why you choose such a light (blue) color? It would be great to use dark blue shade.

Overall layout, color scheme and distribution of items looks good.
However as pointed out by @Faried post date is missing.
It would also be good, if you can show the author, tags and categories somewhere on the post it would be good too.
Your idea of google connect would be useful in future.
Your sidebar looks a bit messy, it would be better to present recent posts/comments and most visited posts in a tabbed like manner preserving some space, and making it look good.
tag or category cloud idea is a better thing too.
and lastly, i think you should either reduces yours ads a bit, or play with their formatting a bit to make it more pleasant.
Saying all this, I will again give you credit for creating your own theme.
One more thing, I am using Chrome browser and theme is broken from several places.

Yeh I agree with Faried, date should be there somewhere. Overall new look and feel is cool especially the sidebar social profile links.
Shafiq bhai, you have a great site and knowledge but you do not write actively. You should write periodically so that we can get few bucks from your knowledge

It’s not clear what the date/time for posts are. Other than that, it looks good! The colors are soft, not harsh.
