Better Mobile Browsing Experience with Opera Mini 5 beta

opera-mini-5.0

Great news for mobile internet users who browse the internet with Opera Mini on their mobile devices. Opera Software released  their new version of opera mini which is currently in beta phase.  The company claims that the new release will make it the world’s fastest and most popular mobile web browser.

I downloaded and installed it on my phone and had a great browsing experience. Opera Mini 5.0 beta has many new features but I am writing some noticeable:

Tabbed browsing

The new tabbed browsing feature is one of the greatest addition to new release. Now you can open multiple sites simultaneously. This feature ensures that the user can easily navigate through different sites

Speed Dial

Open your favorite websites with just one click. Speed dial is just like bookmarks which greets you when you open your OM5.0

Password Manager

No need to enter usernames and passwords again and again. Your new browser is really a memory bank which securely saves all your passwords. You can logon to your favorite site with just one click

Speed Speed and Speed

Time is money – Opera mini compresses the contents by 90% before sending to your phone which makes it faster load-time than any other mobile web browser

“In our own research, we have learned that the number-one reason people use Opera Mini is because it is easy — easy to use the Web you know. The idea of navigating the vastness of the Web from such a small screen can be a daunting leap, which is why we have long committed to make the browsing experience you are familiar with from your PC, easy to do on your mobile phone,” said by Jon von Tetzchner, CEO, Opera Software. “With new, sleek navigation buttons, tabbed browsing and Speed Dial bookmarks, you are never more than a click away from where you want to go on the Web.”

The new features appeal to me but unluckily Opera 5 is not compatibale with my phone...a K750i :(

Perhaps the regular version (not beta) will run on all phones.
