According to a mobile phone advertising company Mobclix’s report the number of eBooks apps are much more than the number of games apps. According to the  statistics  there are 27,000 eBooks apps available in the Apple store which are more than  the 25,400 gaming apps.

The reason behind this scenario is that there are a number of books available in the Apple store free of cost and also without copyrights, so these are the  factors which have  reduced the  cost of production  for the eBook apps.

Now  the ratio of free eBooks apps in comparison with the paid ones is 10:1 as compared  to the games where the paid ones outstrip free game apps over 2 to 1.

All the available free eBooks will also be available for the Apple’s upcoming iPad but Apple’s idea is use only one eBook reader and that is iBook
