Apple Including Multitasking In iphone OS 4.0

As you may know that apple intends to launch iPhone OS 4.0 and iPhone 4G at Worldwide Developers Conference 2010 but before its launch, according to Apple resources they have decided to include multitasking to iPhone OS 4.0.

All iPhone customers know about this problem that their device is not completely capable to run different applications whereas the jail-broken iPhone can perform these actions. I think iPhone OS has the hidden features for multitasking which Apple has restricted due to some security issues. But now Apple has decided to include multitasking in iphone OS 4.0 which will enable the most demanding iPhone with multitasking to make this possible for users to run different apps simultaneously.

The second reason to include multitasking to iPhone OS 4.0 is that the rival webOS supports multitasking feature to hold its position in top of mobile market, Apple has decided to include this feature to the next generation of iPhone.

iPhone Games Outnumbered By eBooks In The Apple App Store

According to a mobile phone advertising company Mobclix’s report the number of eBooks apps are much more than the number of games apps. According to the statistics there are 27,000 eBooks apps available in the Apple store which are more than the 25,400 gaming apps.

The reason behind this scenario is that there are a number of books available in the Apple store free of cost and also without copyrights, so these are the factors which have reduced the cost of production for the eBook apps.

Now the ratio of free eBooks apps in comparison with the paid ones is 10:1 as compared to the games where the paid ones outstrip free game apps over 2 to 1.

All the available free eBooks will also be available for the Apple’s upcoming iPad but Apple’s idea is use only one eBook reader and that is iBook

HP Launched HP Slate

At The International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2010, HP has announced that they are in the process of making a HP Slate , which they will launch in near future. This Trade Show held each January in Las Vegas, Nevada, and is sponsored by the Consumer Electronics Association. In the show HP demonstrated two videos about the Slate. In the first video they showed that how you will be able to get full Web Browsing experience in the palm of your hand with HP Slate whereas in the second video they demonstrated Adobe Air and Flash in action on the device.

As you know that Apple’s iPad which was displayed off by the company in January and company also has officially announced the release and pre-order dates for iPad, but you all also know that iPad could not run Adobe Flash even it is a fabulous device in its features.

If you are in a hurry to pre-order for an iPad it is better for you if you wait a little for other brands to come out with their own iPad compatible devices like HP Slate, JooJoo etc. in market, perhaps those will have all those features which you want to see in your smart ipad.

Availability Of Apple iPad To USA On April 3rd

A great News for ipad lovers. Apple has finally announced the exact date of availability of ipad in the USA markets on Saturday 3rd April, 2010 for Wi- Fi models , whereas both Wi-Fi and 3G models will be in the market in late April, 2010.

As far as other countries concern, all models of iPad will be available in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, Switzerland and the UK in late April,2010.

If you want to order your ipad, you can do it from march,12 onwards. Only USA customers can book their orders both for Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi+3G models from Apple’s online store.

The availability of ipad is the same as announced earlier. Prices are announced as under: Wi-Fi models will be available for a suggested retail price of $499 for 16GB, $599 for 32GB, $699 for 64GB. The Wi-Fi + 3G models will be available for a suggested retail price of $629 for 16GB, $729 for 32GB and $829 for 64GB.

Apple Files a Infringement Lawsuit against HTC Over IPhone Patents

Apple has filed a lawsuit against HTC in courtover 20 Iphone Patents. According to sources the lawsuit involves 20 Apple patents related to the iPhone’s user interface, underlying architecture and hardware design. In a press conference Steve said that we are not just watching our competitors to steal our valued inventions but we are determined to stop them doing so. Healthy competition is good for the public but it does not mean that you steal the patent technology of your competitors. You should create your own technology.

Apple thinks that the concept of the touchscreen Web phone invention belongs to it and it wants other cell phone makers to pay for copying the iPhone. Who will Apple sue next? Motorola? Palm?

Apple iPhone is the hottest tech gadget now a days and everybody wants to have this awesome device. After the popularity of this device, lot of companies are making different gadgets which are made just for the Apple iPhone or iPod.

Sony, the leading manufacturer of tech gadgets worldwide has recently announced iPod/iPhone clock radio dock with new and amazing look. ICF-CD3iP is really a combo device which includes digital clock, AM/FM radio and a cd player with a simplified controlls at the front to control the device. A side pod is attached to hold the ipod nano, ipod touch or iphone.

This iphone/ipod is fully integrated with the alram clock so that you can choose your favourite MP3 music tune to set the alarm clock for wake up.

I just love such great devices that makes life a lot easier. Hopefully this device will be available in October with the estimated price of $100.

My iPhone Experience

Everyone is talking and dreaming about Apple iPhone. I know some Tech savvy and widget lover are using iPhone in Pakistan although iPhone is not launched for Pakistan. They are using the unlocked versions. I am not much of a gadget lover but on Eid holidays, I got a chance to play with my cousin’s Apple iPhone. He is really mad about the latest widgets out there in the market.

My first impression once I held the iPhone in my hand was that it was very light-weight for something that has so many cool features, but when I talked to my cousin about its usability & features. He told me some interesting things infact some worst things about iPhone. Here are the key points:

1. No Group SMS
2. No 3G. You cannot use edge etc on iPhone
3. No extendable Memory Card.
4. No support for disk mode. i.e, cannot save files on your iPhone
5. No bluetooth headphone
6. Speaker volume is terrible
7. Safari, the web browser doesn’t support java, flash and other plugins
8. Can’t synchronize with outlook or powerbook
9. Non-user replaceable battery
10. No video recording

No doubt the resolution and interface are gorgeous but it’s far from perfect. If you are planning to buy iPhone, just think again about the above 10 points
