Elections 2008 and Punjab Police

Sunday, December 16th, 2007

Government of Pakistan (known as Pervaiz Musharraf) announced the so called free & Fair Elections 2008. May be he is right but as you know “A picture is worth a thousand words.”

Free and Fair Elections

It shows that a poor cop of Punjab Police is helping to hang the billboards showing the election symbol of ‘bicycle’, and bicycle is the electoral symbol of the ruling party PML(Q). I think this information is enough to understand this picture ;)

The picture is asking many questions from Musharraf and Election Commission of Pakistan.

Top search engines for Rapidshare Searching

Saturday, December 8th, 2007

Rapidshare is probably one of the top free file hoster on the planet. You can find almost everything on rapidshare but the problem is, rapidshare did not provided any search functionality for the hosted files. If you know how to search the hosted files on rapidhsare, you can rule the IT world.

What is Rapidshare: Rapidshare is the best among all the file hosting sites till date. Keeping in view that the web users have to go through a tedious process to send files as an attachment in emails and with some service providers not providing the option of sending large files, the idea of file uploading came into existence. Established in May, 2002 Rapidshare has nearly 84 sites which link to it and stores files on Rapidshare servers. The servers are located in Switzerland. Due to overwhelming response to the service, the problem of server overload started creeping in. So Rapidshare decided to start another subsidiary company by name Rapidshare.de

Top Search Engines: I think Google is the most powerful search engine capable of handling a number of advanced queries but you must have enough understanding on how to perform search. Searching in google is a very long story, I will cover it in later article.

Here I will guide you how to search the Rapidshare using google:

Amazing Pakistan – A trip to Kasur

Tuesday, November 27th, 2007

shafiq fayyaz khalid rizwan

We had been planning to visit Kasur for many days, each time it was postponed due to some unavoidable circumstances. At last, we planned the journey to Kasur on Sunday 25th Nov. All the credit for making it possible goes to Mr. Fayyaz Minhas.

We (Fayyaz, Khalid, Rizwan, Sameer & off course Me ;) ) decided to start our journey on 10:00 am Sunday but Sameer couldn’t join us due to some sudden guests in town (we missed him a lot). Fayyaz picked me from my home sweet home at 11:15 the we both pickedKhalid and Rizwan from STC. The journey to Kasur was very interesting and we reached Kasur in about an hour.

Our first stay was at Ayub Foods which is the most famous about his quality food. We eat Faloodah(very tasty sweet dish) from Ayub Foods. Everybody who visits Kasur must goto this restaurant to enjoy the faloodah.

After eating Faloodah we again started our travel towards Gunda Singh and stayed to my sister’s home in Bhaidian Kalan (Nai Basti). My Nephew Inam joined us and palyed an important role as a guide. He takes us to his friend’s Amrood (Guava) Garden. We ate crunchy crunchy fresh amrood (guava), they also gifted amroods to everybody.

After that we went to gunda singh border to see the guard changing ceremony. That was also worth to attend. We spend an hour at Gunda Singh border, you can watch video too

Kasur Ganda Singh Border
After attending the ceremony on indo-pak border we again came back to the older city Kasur to taste the Kasuri Fish. The fish was also superb. We never ate such a wonderful tasty fish in Lahore. Kasuri fish’s shop name was Sheikh Javed. We came back and reached home at 10:30. Overall our trip was 100% successful. I recommend you to visit Kasur if you are planning a visit to Pakistan or If you live in Lahore.

Imran Khan’s Life in Danger, likely kidnapped by agencies

Sunday, November 4th, 2007

(Message from Chief Political Secy PTI Saifullah Niazi)

“The Chairman was told by the police last night that he is under house arrest. But around 3 am the police brought warrants to take him to prison and at that time it was discovered that he had mysteriously vanished while there were over two dozen policemen surrounding his house. We are not sure where they have taken him as there is no way he could have gone out without the knowledge of the police and he could be in a lot of danger.

Please put this issue on all types of blogs for discussion.

Please instruct all your International Chapters to protest in front of their respective Pakistani High Commissions as his life could be in danger.

In addition to this please start a million signature petition to free Imran Khan and send it to the UN, amnesty international and the human rights commission or whichever organization you can think of.”

[Chairman Khan had gone on GEO and said that Musharaf by committing high treason now deserves the death penalty as per the Constitution of Pakistan. GEO went off air an hour or so later. The News left that story on their www.thenews.com.pk website but removed it. However, Chairman Khan's quote can be heard on GEO on moveforjustice.org.]

Emergency Declared in Pakistan

Saturday, November 3rd, 2007

President Gen. Pervez Musharraf has declared a state of emergency in Pakistan on Saturday. I was watching the GEO News and all of sudden all Pakistani news broadcasting channels vanished from local cable provider. The Official television “PTV” announced this bad news. The news caster didn’t mention the reason for the emergency and read the following paragraph.

The chief of army staff has proclaimed a state of emergency and issued a provisional constitutional order.

What else can be said? ANOTHER SAD DAY FOR PAKISTAN

10 great goals to set for this Ramadan

Thursday, September 13th, 2007

Today I found a great article on ramadan written by by Sound Vision Staff and want to share it with you.

  • Eat, drink and be moderate Almost all of us do it – Once Iftar time hits, we just keep plowing food and drink into our mouths till it’s hard to move afterwards. And those of us who do it know this is totally contrary to the spirit of Ramadan, through which we’re supposed to learn self-control not self-indulgence. Let’s try to stick to the Prophetic rule on eating: fill our stomachs with one-third food, one-third water and one-third breathing space, even in Ramadan.
  • Give a dollar a day in charity…or five or ten – The Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, was always generous but even more so in Ramadan. Let’s open our hearts and dig a little deeper in our wallets this year. Even less than a dollar a day adds up. Whatever you can give, it’s the intention that counts.
  • Memorize 4 new Surahs Memorizing the Quran often seems like a daunting task. But the key is doing it in small bites. Since there are four weeks in Ramadan, try to memorize one new Surah a week. Start off with a short, easy one. Once you’ve started, you’ll build momentum and may even want to memorize a longer one the following week.
  • Go to Tarawih prayers Post-Iftar, the first urge is to sleep after an exhausting day. But try your best to head out to the mosque for Tarawih prayers. Praying alone is wonderful, but doing it in congregation is fantastic. The community spirit is part of Ramadan’s blessings. Don’t miss it this year. If going every day is not possible, try going at least one week.
  • Attend the Tarawih prayer in which the recitation of the Quran will be finished Call the local mosque and find out which day the Imam will be finishing the recitation of the Quran in prayer. Attend to not only hear part of the Quran’s recitation in prayer, but also participate in the heart-rending Duas that follow it.
  • Stop swearing and/or backbiting – with a special box It’s hard not to shoot our mouths off when someone’s upset us. Whether we utter those four-letter words or backbite about someone to our family and friends, we know this isn’t the God-approved way of letting off steam. In Ramadan, when we want to build our spirituality, we’ve got to wage Jihad against our bad habits. Try this: get a box and every time you catch yourself swearing or backbiting put some money in it. It could be a buck or less. The point is to choose an amount that makes it feel like punishment. At the end of the month send the money to a charity or buy a gift for the person whom you’ve backbitten the most against.
  • Call/email your relatives You’d think that given the easy access to email, competitive long-distance calling rates, phone cards, etc. these days, we’d keep in touch with family and friends more often. But the opposite seems to be the case, as we get caught up in life’s “busyness.” Strengthening ties with family members and keeping in touch with friends is part of our way of life and an act Allah is very pleased with. This Ramadan, call family and friends or at least email them a Ramadan card and ask them how their fasting is going.
  • Go on a technology diet Even if you work in the IT industry, you can do this. Avoid checking personal email and surfing the web during your fast. After Iftar, instead of plopping yourself in front of the screen, go to Tarawih. The same goes for the television. The point is to try to give our full attention to spiritual elevation this month.
  • Read 5 minutes of Quran a day…just five, not more, not less Even if you feel you’ve got absolutely no time, set a timer or the alarm on your cell phone and find a relatively quiet place. You can read the first page of the Quran you open or follow a sequence. The choice is yours. The point is simply to connect with God through His revelation in the month of the Quran.
  • Forgive everyone who has hurt you Still got a festering wound from the fight with your friend last year? Still upset about something your spouse said during a heated argument? Or are you still bitter about the way your parents sometimes treated you as a kid? Let go of the anger and pain this Ramadan and forgive those who have hurt you. Forgiving someone is not only good for the body, but it’s also great for the soul. And in Ramadan, ten days of which are devoted to Allah’s forgiveness, shouldn’t we lesser beings forgive too? If you find it very difficult to forgive everyone, forgive at least three people.

I Was Born Intelligent But Education Ruined Me

Monday, June 25th, 2007

I saw this statement written in bold on the T-Shirt of a guy and he seemed to be flaunting it very proudly. At first I just ignored it, taking it as another funky statement but then a little more thought made me realize how true it is.
