Rapidshare is probably one of the top free file hoster on the planet. You can find almost everything on rapidshare but the problem is, rapidshare did not provided any search functionality for the hosted files. If you know how to search the hosted files on rapidhsare, you can rule the IT world.
What is Rapidshare: Rapidshare is the best among all the file hosting sites till date. Keeping in view that the web users have to go through a tedious process to send files as an attachment in emails and with some service providers not providing the option of sending large files, the idea of file uploading came into existence. Established in May, 2002 Rapidshare has nearly 84 sites which link to it and stores files on Rapidshare servers. The servers are located in Switzerland. Due to overwhelming response to the service, the problem of server overload started creeping in. So Rapidshare decided to start another subsidiary company by name Rapidshare.de

After writing an article “PTCL broadband internet DSL service“; lot of ptcl dsl� subscribers are asking about “Configuring DSL over ethernet” so I decided to write a detailed article.
Please note that, this configuration is only applicable to ZTE ZXDSL 831D modem which is provided by ptcl (in white color). I am not covering the ethernet installation and DSL cable connections in this guide because I assume that it is already installed and configured.
Please follow the instructions for step by step configuration.
Point your internet explorer or firefox browser to 192.168.1.1
Login using ZXDSL as username and ZXDSL as password
Click on “connection settings” in left menu
Delete all connections except default one named “rfc139“
Click on “create new connection”
Choose “PPP over Ethernet”
Press “goto next step”
Connection settings are as follows:
VPI: 0
VCI: 103
QoS: UBR
Authentication: NONE
username: 042XXXXXXX
password: XXXXXXXXXXX
Click “Create this new service”
Click on”Advance Settings” in left menu
Then click on security in sub-menu
Look for the “Security Interface” and then click on add interface
Select ppp-0 and then click on Apply
Click on “Enable NAT to Internal Interface”
Click on “Maintenance” in left menu, choose”Save” and press the save button
Click on “Restart” and press restart button (do not check reset to factory default)
For Windows:
Right Click “My Network Places” on desktop and select “Properties”
Right Click “Local Area Connections” andselect Properties
In the General Tab; double click on”Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)” and made the following settings:
Press OK and enjoy the broadband experience!!
For Linux:
edit /etc/resolv.conf and write:
nameserver 203.135.0.70
nameserver 203.135.1.117
Save, exit and enjoy!

Wateen Telecoms launched its WiMax operations in Lahore. Last week we invited Wateen’s technical team to install its wiMax in our office at STC (Siddique Trade Center) Gulberg III Lahore. After spending few hours with the CPE device they informed us that “signal for WiMax are very week in the office premises, so we are unable to install WiMax”.
I think wateen is the one of the first and major player in WiMax operation in Pakistan and they have been testing the WiMax services in different areas of Pakistan since late 2006. We didn’t expect this situation from wateen’s installation engineers. STC is is situated in Gulberg III which is the most important place for IT companies. Most of the offices in STC are software houses. If they cannot provide wimax in Gulberg III, then there’s not point for launching the WiMax operations?
More important thing about wateen’s wimax are their prices. They are providing 128Kbps for just Rs.400 per month but their CPE (Wimax Device) is very very costly. Its about Rs. 23,500 for home and corporate clients, which is a huge amount for home users.
Every package for home users is shared between 16 home users and every corporate package is shared by 3 corporate users. First of all no one will spend 23K for their CPE, if someone do; he will get 8Kbps (from 128Kbps shared) download speed (supposing all 16 users are using bandwidth)
I must say that Wateen should really think about the CPE cost, this will really ruins all their efforts to wimax.
